1. Do you take insurance?
Tampa Running & Performance Clinic is an “out-of-network” provider. We have intentionally chosen this model to ensure that your care is dictated by your needs and our expertise—not by an insurance adjuster’s bottom line.
- Why this matters for you: Most “in-network” clinics require therapists to see 2–4 patients per hour to remain profitable. At TRPC, you get 1:1 undivided attention for the entire session.
- The Result: Because our care is more focused, our patients typically get better faster and in fewer total visits than they would in a traditional clinic.
- Payment Options: We accept all major credit cards, as well as HSA (Health Savings Accounts) and FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts).
- Reimbursement: Upon request, we can provide you with a “Superbill” (an itemized receipt of services) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
2. Do I need a referral from a doctor to see you?
Florida is a “Direct Access” state for physical therapy and athletic training, meaning you can come straight to us for evaluation and treatment. If your recovery requires a longer plan or specialized imaging, we have a network of top-tier physicians in Tampa we can refer you to.
3. Who exactly do you work with?
While “Running” is in the name, we are movement specialists for anyone who is motivated and prioritizes an active lifestyle. Our staff has a pedigree of training elite athletes and members of the military special operations community. Whether you are a recreational runner, chasing a Boston Marathon Qualification, or just want to get back to pain-free daily living, you’re getting the same level of elite-tier attention.
4. How much is each session?
We believe in 100% pricing transparency. You will never receive a “surprise bill” three months after your treatment.
- Initial Evaluation: $189
- Follow-Up Sessions:
- 60 minutes: $189
- 45 minutes: $149
When you choose TRPC, you aren’t just paying for a time slot; you are paying for an outcome. Each session is a flat rate without any extra charge for specific assessments or interventions (dry needling, manipulation, etc.).
5. Can I reach out to my provider with questions between sessions?
Absolutely. We pride ourselves on our communication and accessibility. At TRPC, we don’t believe your care should be confined to the 60 minutes you spend in our clinic. Recovery and training are 24/7 processes, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
- Direct Access: You will have a direct line to your provider. No “gatekeepers” or front-desk tag—just professional guidance when you need it most.
- Beyond the Clinic: Whether you have a question about a specific exercise in your program, need a last-minute adjustment to your race-day strategy, or have a concern about a new sensation during a long run, we encourage you to reach out.
- Total Support: We view our relationship as a partnership. Being accessible allows us to make real-time adjustments to your plan, ensuring you stay on track toward your goals without unnecessary delays or guesswork.
TRPC Difference: Most clinics stop caring the moment you walk out the door. We stay invested in your progress until the finish line.
